A taste of home in the heart of London! As someone who grew up with Levantine flavours, finding a place that gets it *just right* is rare but this one absolutely did. Always greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality you feel like being hosted by family. The Manakeesh were bursting with flavour and prepared with real care. Each bite reminded me of home. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the recipes come from a place of pride and tradition. It's not just the food though. It’s the whole experience. Zaatar w Zeit isn’t just a place to grab a bite, it’s somewhere you want to return to again and again.

I visited Za’atar ou Zeit bakery/ cafe very early morning— bless them they were still setting-up! Enjoyed Za’atar mana’eesh, with fresh mint, cucumbers, olives and slices of tomatoes— bliss!! Also ordered foul mdamas, which came with freshly baked flat bread that my friend and I picked at until everything was done! Enjoyed all this with black tea with fresh mint. Went to use the facilities, and honestly, this is the cleanest toilet in London! For me that’s a reflection on the place and its capacity towards hygiene (especially their kitchen). I am very impressed. Before leaving, I ordered half a dozen mana’eesh to go. Delicious!

I’ve been coming to this Lebanese bakery since 2009, and it never disappoints. The quality has remained consistently excellent over the years. Whether it’s their fresh manakish, crispy falafel, or sweet baklava, everything is always delicious. It’s rare to find a place that maintains such high standards for so long—truly a neighborhood gem.
